The MacArthur Elementary School project was designed to enhance the educational
environment for Crown Point students, supporting their growth, learning, and
achievement. The school expanded to accommodate a growing student population
with new and upgraded classrooms that created dynamic learning spaces. A
dedicated STEM project lab was added to support science, technology, engineering,
and math education. Common area school spaces were updated like the cafeteria, a
new gym, and the media center. Flexible spaces for large group instruction were
created to accommodate diverse learning styles when needed. There were also site
improvement considerations to enhance vehicle and bus circulation while increasing
visitor parking. These changes provide a modern, functional learning environment for all
students and staff.
